My nephew

I finally got to meet my new nephew, Nathan. He stole my heart just like his big sister when she was born. I can't wait to see them again. I also can't wait until Jeffrey can make him laugh.

Kauai

Here are some pictures from the rest of our Hawaii trip to Kauai. It was nice to get out of the busy city of Honolulu and go to an equally beautiful island that did not have hotels lining its shores. I think what's special about Kauai is that it's kept from being developed. It had one main road and the road was lined with huge trees. It was a great escape...

Our hotel, Princeville was incredible. Very classic.

The view from our room...

Nah...kidding...but it's a great view from the lobby...Ok the real view from our room was just as nice but minus the piano.

We took a helicopter tour to see the sites on the island. Now that I'm safely on the ground I can say it was incredible...during the helicopter ride I wanted to scream the whole time. Too bad it didn't cure me of my fear of heights... if anything it might have made it worse!

Real shave ice! It was SOOO good! The ice was shaved really fine and soft. Make sure you get it with ice cream on the bottom too. My mouth waters whenever I look at this picture.

Oh and we found Melona ice cream bars that I haven't had in years. They have lots of flavors but the cantaloupe one is the best... tastes just like cantaloupe but better! This is the 2nd one Jeffrey bought...he dropped the first one, cried, and ran and got another one :). heh...

And then finally we get to do some snorkeling.

Hawaii was AMAZING

It was a great vacation. Hawaii was beautiful and warm and sunny. I miss it already.

Our first stop was at the Dole Plantation and we got to eat some juicy pineapples and try some pinapple ice cream. Perfect on a hot day.

Then we stopped by a shrimp stand on the way to our hotel. Garlic and butter shrimp. YUM. It was tasty... but Jeffrey and I did suffer some side effects from this meal...:(

Polynesian Culture Center. Our tour guide demonstrated how to climb a cocunut tree. And we got to eat some yummy spam musubi.

We stayed at the Hilton in Oahu...Thanks to Christine and Jun! The hotel had tropical birds and penguins! And they kept the penguins with the turtles...weird.

Our catamaran trip. It was very relaxing but we didn't get to see any whales.

We finally got to walk along the Waikiki beach and try their snow cones. It was a great way to cool off.

Imagine waking up to this view isn't it breathtaking? I could have gotten used to this.

More pictures to come later of the rest of our trip to Kuai. We do finally get into the ocean in Kuai :)
