It's still mind boggling to think that our baby was in my belly just over a week ago. He made a surprising entrance into our lives coming two weeks early when my doctor was suspecting he'd come a week after my due date. So when I was experiencing small gushes of water every few hours I didn't even suspect it was my water breaking and was still skeptical that it was when we went to the hospital to get it checked just in case. I think the nurse was even surprised when she told me I wouldn't be going home and Isaac would be out that day. I was planning on a long 12 hour labor where they'd induce me because I wasn't dilated or feeling contractions. But after monitoring the baby's heart rate for about 2 hours doctor decided to do a c-section because his heart rate was high and they didn't want to chance something going wrong during labor.
So 5 hours after I got checked into the hospital... Isaac joined us :) Now here are some of my favorite pictures of our little guy.

Family picture on Isaac's 2nd day.

Allan and Justine visiting

Quincy, Shirley and baby Chloe visiting when we got home

Auntie Stella visiting at the hospital

Erick, Phoebe, Eddy and Claire visiting. Sorry, we didn't get to take pictures of everyone visiting.
James' put up some he took of us on his site.

Isaac came out sucking his lower lip. Cute but made for a difficult time latching.

Kissy face. I think his full red lips are from his Dad's side.

He's a master at escaping from his swaddle and getting cozy.

Isaac already seems to adore his Daddy. If Jeffrey hands him off to me he'll cry and start looking towards him.

This is definitely my favorite picture. We leave him in his bassinet. Come back and this is what we find...him wearing his swaddle and outfit all scooted down and looking happy as a clam.

Daddy trying out the center part with Isaac.

Isaac with a side part and looking a bit concerned.

Same side part but now looking thoughtful.

Isaac's Grandma visiting from Texas. Thank you for all your help mom!

Isaac's Auntie Faith also came to visit. Can't wait for him to meet his cousins too!
Thanks everyone for visiting us and your prayers. We are so blessed to have a healthy baby boy and to have loving friends and family. Thanks especially to the Happy Fishers for cooking dinners for us and hanging out with us our first week home! It really helped us transition back home with a newborn so much easier!
