Welcome Baby Isaac!

It's still mind boggling to think that our baby was in my belly just over a week ago. He made a surprising entrance into our lives coming two weeks early when my doctor was suspecting he'd come a week after my due date. So when I was experiencing small gushes of water every few hours I didn't even suspect it was my water breaking and was still skeptical that it was when we went to the hospital to get it checked just in case. I think the nurse was even surprised when she told me I wouldn't be going home and Isaac would be out that day. I was planning on a long 12 hour labor where they'd induce me because I wasn't dilated or feeling contractions. But after monitoring the baby's heart rate for about 2 hours doctor decided to do a c-section because his heart rate was high and they didn't want to chance something going wrong during labor.

So 5 hours after I got checked into the hospital... Isaac joined us :) Now here are some of my favorite pictures of our little guy.

Family picture on Isaac's 2nd day.

Allan and Justine visiting

Quincy, Shirley and baby Chloe visiting when we got home

Auntie Stella visiting at the hospital

Erick, Phoebe, Eddy and Claire visiting. Sorry, we didn't get to take pictures of everyone visiting. James' put up some he took of us on his site.

Isaac came out sucking his lower lip. Cute but made for a difficult time latching.

Kissy face. I think his full red lips are from his Dad's side.

He's a master at escaping from his swaddle and getting cozy.

Isaac already seems to adore his Daddy. If Jeffrey hands him off to me he'll cry and start looking towards him.

This is definitely my favorite picture. We leave him in his bassinet. Come back and this is what we find...him wearing his swaddle and outfit all scooted down and looking happy as a clam.

Daddy trying out the center part with Isaac.

Isaac with a side part and looking a bit concerned.

Same side part but now looking thoughtful.

Isaac's Grandma visiting from Texas. Thank you for all your help mom!

Isaac's Auntie Faith also came to visit. Can't wait for him to meet his cousins too!

Thanks everyone for visiting us and your prayers. We are so blessed to have a healthy baby boy and to have loving friends and family. Thanks especially to the Happy Fishers for cooking dinners for us and hanging out with us our first week home! It really helped us transition back home with a newborn so much easier!

Our Bunny Baby Shower

Our bunny themed baby shower was so much fun. We were reminded of how wonderful our friends and family are and how blessed we are to have everyone in our lives. Our baby boy will have great aunties and uncles and I'm so excited for him to meet everyone in about a month. Here are some pics from the shower. Sorry they're not in any order... (thanks for hosting David and April!)

Knew it was going to be all about bunnies when we got to the front door :)

Everyone brought their bunnies to share. Someone has more bunnies than I do! And they're all pink! Who's are they?

I think we're getting situated for the games here. Deborah and Brian (my brother in law) look a bit apprehensive about playing shower games... but they turned out to be fun games! Thanks Olivia and Justine!

Bunny cookies! and yummy cinnamon rolls. Thanks Karen!

Gotta have a pictures of the food layout. YUM! Thanks girls for the yummy food! Loved it!

Donna's gift made us feel like it was Christmas. Tons of things all wrapped up in a table cloth :)

Our baby's future playmate. I guess this is kinda their first picture together.

My sister made these great boo boo bunnies!

In one game teams had to make outfits for the bunnies. Pretty fancy huh?

Abby wanted to take a picture with me. We were also wondering what all these balloons were for...

Then we found out. Everyone got a taste of what it feels like to be pregnant and have to pee... even the guys! :) The girls were a lot better at this game but the guys were so funny to watch.

I made Jeffrey take a picture with me here. Too bad his balloon wasn't weighted!

Awesome diaper cake that April made!

Not sure what Nathan is doing here. He just looks cute.

Some pictures with the party goers... Kenzie and Angela

My sister's family. I wonder what Nathan's eating here.

James, Karen, and Lia

This was hilarious. Don't worry it's not Foo Foo's real poo poo.

Jujube trying out our whale of a tub. Hope our baby loves water as much as she does!

And we can't forget Lucy... Nathan and Abby loved her. Abby also held onto those bunny cookies all night.

Thanks everyone for the fun filled shower! We won't forget it!
